Day Wise Travel Itinerary
Arrive Leh 3505 meters / 11567 feet. Arrive Kushok Bakula airport Leh – 3500m above sea level. Transfer to hotel. Arrival Leh by morning flight and transfer to the hotel. After welcome drink take a complete rest for acclimatization to the height altitude of Leh (3500 meters).
Later, in late afternoon drive to the city for an orientation walk in the markets‚ followed by a visit to Shanti Stupa‚ Leh palace. Dinner & Overnight stay at Leh hotel.
- After breakfast you drive downstream along the River Indus on Leh – Kargil Highway. And start our sightseeing with Hall Of Fame (Museum Constructed by India Army – closed on Monday) near Leh is worth a visit for every Indian, and proceed further to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib at an altitude of 3600 Mtrs about 22 Kms from Leh was constructed in memory of Guru Nanak Dev ji Nestled deep in the Himalayas, A drive of another 4 km took us to Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity. As you move ahead from Magnetic Hills, just before Nimmu Village, there comes a famous Confluence Of Two Rivers Indus River coming from Tibet (left) and Zanskar River coming from Zanskar Valley (right). Later we drive back to Leh. Dinner and overnight at Hotel in Leh.



- Post breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La (The Highest Motorable Road in the World) at 5,602 Mtrs / 18,390 Ft, around 39 km from Leh.
- Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers. It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 Ft. above sea level.
- Upon arrival in Nubra we check in at our Camp / Hotel in Hunder.
- Later, you can walk around the tiny villages to see how the locals live in this part of the world. Dinner & overnight stay at the Camp or Hotel.



- After an early breakfast we check out from Camp or hotel and drive towards Hunder where you have opportunity to ride on a Bactrian Camel (double humped) amidst the sand dunes of this high-altitude desert with snowcapped mountains on the horizon.
- On the return, stop at Diskit which is the headquarter town of Nubra Valley. Stroll around the bazaar observing the shops and local people going about their daily chores.
- Later, we drive towards Pangong Tso via Agham & Shyok Valley. Some of the road patches in areas are extremely tough (towards Nubra side) in terms of road conditions but no doubt the journey is very scenic! Later after crossing this adventurous part, we drive further onwards Durbuk & Tangtse for Pangong you pass through few small villages of Changthang and finally you can have a sudden view of the Pangong lake situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). Upon arrival we check in at our Camp/Hotel Near Pangong lake. Dinner & Overnight at the Hotel/ Camp.
NOTE: – Pangong is a small community village which is in far flung areas with no electricity. Gensets cannot be used in the nights due to environmental concerns. That is the reason why there is no intercom, 24hrs heater in the room. For electricity, solar panels & inverters are used. It is very tough to operate in Pangong given the adverse conditions & limited sources. Moreover, mobile network is also very rare at Pangong.



- After breakfast leave for Leh. Arrive Leh Hotel early evening & check-in.
- Evening free to relax and spend time in Leh local market for shopping on your own. Dinner & overnight stay at Leh.



- After a leisurely breakfast, we drive to visit Hemis Monastery situated 45km west of Leh; Hemis is the largest and the wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. From Hemis, you are driven back taking the same route to visit Thiksey Monastery, located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley.
- Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya and is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk.
- After that we continue to drive through series of Buddhist stupa(chortens) to visit Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh, 3 Idiots School Campus, Sindhu Darshan visit. Overnight stay at the hotel



- Morning transfer to airport to catch your onward flight back home with sweet memories of Ladakh.

- Ladakh being a cold desert doesn’t have star category hotels. Hotels in Leh are very basic which cannot be compared with the hotels of other developed destinations.
- Camps in Pangong/ Nubra are basic in nature and use Genset for limited electricity. Do not expect luxury accommodation or amenities in Pangong / Nubra even if you are opting for premium packages.
- Scarcity of water and electricity is a common issue in Ladakh. To overcome the water crisis, most hotels are not able to provide 24*7 running hot water; therefore, Hot water will be provided as per the fixed schedule of hotel.
- Most of the hotels in the region do not have elevators and guests may have to climb stairs to reach their rooms.
- Most hotels can provide room heaters on request, at extra cost and as subject to availability. The payment for this is to be settled by guest, directly at the hotel.
- Hotels MAY ask for security deposits, which would be refundable upon check-out as per hotel policy.
- All guests must carry a photo-identity with an address proof for check-in. Foreign nationals should present their Passport and valid visa. Indian nationals can use any of the following: Passport, Driving License, Voter ID card, or Aadhaar Card. PAN cards are not accepted.
- Vehicle AC shall Not Operate In “Hilly Regions” And in “Standing Position”.
- The Services of Vehicle & guide is NOT included on leisure days & after finishing the sightseeing tour as per the Itinerary. Vehicle is NOT at disposal.
- It is advisable to travel light with minimum baggage of 01 piece per person. All the luggage is stored on the overhead carriers & sometimes on the back seats of the vehicle depending on space.
- Like most hill stations (Shillong, Ooty, Coorg, Munnar, Thekkady, Kodaikanal, Wayand, Shimla, Manali, Darjeeling, Nainital, Kashmir, Leh, Gangtok, etc etc) Rooms will be NON-AC, unless specified.
