Day-1: Nairobi – Amboseli
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi where you will be met after clearing with immigrations.
You will be briefed about your safari and later drive to Amboseli National Park. The Park that is famous for its breath-taking views of Kilimanjaro. The Park also shelters more than 420 species of birds. Enormous Elephant population and other big game is attracted to the area by underground springs fed from the melting snows of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Day-2: Explore Amboseli
Rising early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit, we set off for a dawn game drive. Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from Wildebeest to Giraffes to Baboons. Midday finds us at your lodge for lunch and afternoon rest, there after depart for another exciting game drive at the park. Amboseli is home to the legendary Maasai tribesmen. Maasai warriors are famous and are proud nomadic tribe whose legendary prowess in battle and single-handed acts of bravery in fights with the wild animals are known across the world.
Day-3: Nairobi – Aberdares
After breakfast, drive to Nyeri, a small but fast growing town in the heart of the coffee growing and dairy farming area in the so-called former White Highlands of Kenya. There will be a brief stopover at the Equator.
Day-4: Aberdares – Sweetwaters
After breakfast, drive to Sweetwaters. Located on the plains of Mount Kenya, the Sweetwaters Tented camp features thirty-nine luxury tents, each with its own private veranda overlooking the water hole. The beautiful Camp lies in the heart of this privately owned 24,000 acre ranch with magnificent views across the wildlife- studded plains to the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya. There is also a 200-acre chimpanzee sanctuary. Enjoy afternoon game drive and visit to the Chimpanzee sanctuary.
Day-5: Sweetwaters - Lake Nakuru National Park!
After breakfast, proceed to Lake Nakuru set in a picturesque landscape of surrounding woodland and grassland next to Nakuru town. After a sumptuous lunch at the camp, we proceed on an exciting game-drive including a visit to Baboon cliff. You have a chance to see the white rhino and sighting of leopards at Lake Nakuru. The park is famous for the pink flamingos and other water birds – a total of 450 varieties but the Flamingos have recently migrated due to high water tables from the lake. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at the lodge.
Day-6: Lake Nakuru National Park - Mara Game Reserve
Enjoy early morning game drive before departing for Masai Mara. After breakfast, proceed to the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve via the Great Rift Valley. En route enjoy the beautiful scenery. Arrive at your Lodge in time for lunch and check in at the lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy an enthralling game-viewing drive. Spotting lions, cheetahs and other spectacular predators is the highlight of your day (If luck is on your side). This evening, enjoy a sumptuous dinner at your Lodge.
Day-7: Full day of game-viewing!
After breakfast, proceed on a full-day game-viewing drive to search for the myriad species of game that make this reserve their home. If you are lucky, you can witness the kill in action, moment by moment, right in front of your unbelieving eyes! After a sumptuous lunch at your Lodge, proceed for another exciting game drive, where you can expect to see the famous 'Big 5'. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at your Lodge.
Day-8: Masai Mara - Nairobi
Enjoy early morning game drive. After return to your lodge for breakfast, drive to Nairobi to arrive in time for lunch. Lunch will be on own. Late enjoy a city tour of Nairobi and last minute shopping. Thereafter, you will be transferred to your city hotel for an overnight.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airport for your departure flight back home 3hrs prior to flight departure time.
If you want then you can add 1 Night in Lake Naivasha after Lake Nakuru.
Day-6: Lake Naivasha 80km approx 1hrs
After breakfast drive to Lake Naivasha which is a freshwater Lake. Lake Naivasha is on the floor of the East African Rift Valley. Birdlife is particularly abundant (over 460 species). It is a breeding ground for cormorants all year round. You might see pelicans and spoonbills perched on the dead trees and almost certainly the fish eagle. There are two species of fish breeding in this fresh water lake, black bass and tilapia. The tilapias are ‘mouth breeders’, the various species of fresh water mouth breeders are known as “tilapia”. Large and small frogs are abundant, from the bull frog to the tiny tree toad. Crescent Island in Lake Naivasha is part of the rim of submerged volcano whose crater forms the deepest part of the Lake (can be booked and paid locally at an extra cost). Lunch is at the resort. Rest of the afternoon will be spent at leisure with various optional activities available and can be booked and paid for locally.
